Most people think that
sitting with their hands crossed is meditating. But if it
were so simple the world would be a calm and harmonious
place. For a student to advance in meditation, he must
understand that there are levels of meditation and only
through the journey and the price of learning may you
advance. and it's obvious that a teacher enhances your
journey and experiences, unfortunately there are few
qualified teachers to give instruction.
Some of the levels are:
envisionment , internal consciousness, reflection, calm
environment, and quite mind. These are just a few of the
lower levels for practitioners. Quite often a student only
uses one or two levels. Therefore, do not be critical, study
to just study and maintain an open mind.
