Houston is known as the Bayou City, the Houston Wilderness area offers
many opportunities to enjoy a canoeing or kayaking.
Here is a list of places to go if you want to enjoy the day in

Armand Bayou Nature Center (Houston,
TX): Offers many opportunities for boating adventure. Take a
guided canoe trip and explore the backwaters of the Armand Bayou, or
enjoy a leisurely breakfast while drifting on a pontoon boat.

Park (Houston, TX): See the Natural white sand
beaches along Spring Creek. there are guided pontoon boat tours
along Spring Creek once a month September through May. Guided
canoe trips are also offered once a month September through May.
Buffalo Bayou Park: Has more trips than any other bayou,
It is home to the longest canoe able area in our
region. the ' largest canoe race, in Texas is the Buffalo Bayou
Regatta. Launch at Eleanor Tinsley Park .
How about Lake Conroe there is a great spot just past Kelly
pond in the national forest.
